Welcome to Backdroppr ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using Backdroppr (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms"). Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Scope and Eligibility
Service Overview:
Backdroppr is an online tool for automatic background removal from images, currently provided as a free service for personal use.
Account Creation:
You may use Backdroppr without registration for limited free use. Registered users may access higher free limits.
Age Requirement:
You must be at least 13 years old to use Backdroppr. If you are under the legal age in your country, use the Service only with permission of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly allow children under 13 to use the Service.
2. Acceptable Use
Lawful Use Only:
Use Backdroppr only for lawful purposes. You are responsible for all content you upload and process.
Prohibited Content:
You must not upload, process, or share images or materials that are illegal, infringe third-party rights, or are offensive (abusive, hateful, harassing, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable). This includes any material depicting the sexual exploitation of minors, which is strictly prohibited and will be reported to the appropriate authorities.
Technical Restrictions:
Do not attempt to bypass usage limits, reverse-engineer, disrupt, or misuse the Service. Do not use bots or automation to abuse the platform.
Content Rights:
You confirm you have all necessary rights and permissions for any content you upload or process through Backdroppr. You retain all ownership of your original and processed images.
3. Plans, Payments, and Usage
Free Tier
Anonymous users may process up to 10 images per month. Registered users receive up to 30 free background removals per month.
Pro Plan (Coming Soon)
A paid "Pro" plan with higher limits and advanced features is planned for a future release. No paid plans are available at this time. Details regarding payments, refunds, and additional terms will be updated prior to launch of paid services.
No Current Payment Processing
Backdroppr does not currently offer any paid subscriptions or accept payments. Do not attempt to make payments or expect paid features until they are officially announced as available.
4. Cancellation, Suspension, and Termination
Account Deletion:
You may delete your account at any time. This will remove your account information from our active systems, subject to data retention required by law or for legitimate business purposes.
Suspension/Termination:
We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, abuse the Service, or if required by law. We may also restrict or block your access to protect our platform or users.
5. Intellectual Property
Backdroppr IP:
The Backdroppr platform, design, and software are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works except as expressly allowed.
User Content:
You retain rights to any images you upload. By using Backdroppr, you grant us a limited license to process and store your content only as necessary to provide the Service.
No Model Training:
Unless you opt in, we do not use your images to train our AI models.
6. Liability and Disclaimers
Service Provided "As Is":
Backdroppr is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no warranties about accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose. You use the Service at your own risk.
Limitation of Liability:
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Backdroppr shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
7. Policy Changes and Contact
Updates:
We may update these Terms occasionally. Material changes will be announced on our website or via email where possible. The "Last updated" date will always reflect the current version.
